A Kitchen Built on Family, Function, and Mediterranean Calm

— Inside Jack Vodusek’s VODA kitchen — where timeless materials, craftsmanship, and family values meet effortless luxury.

The VODA Kitchen

Stone Ambassador sat down with Jack Vodusek, CEO of Rich Glen Olive Oil, to talk about the inspiration behind his new home and how timeless design, family values, and craftsmanship came together to create a kitchen that feels both luxurious and lived-in.For Jack and his family, the kitchen is the heart of the home  a space that feels calm, warm, open, and deeply functional. The vision for VODA was to capture the relaxed luxury of the Mediterranean,  timeless, sun-drenched, and effortlessly welcoming.

Every detail was designed with purpose. Oversized sinks, dual mixers and dishwashers, integrated appliances, and a Zip tap ensure everyday practicality, while the centrepiece, a striking island bench fully laminated in Vasari Surfaces Travertino Ivory by Stone Ambassador, anchors the entire space. Understated yet commanding, it embodies that balance of durability and elegance, able to take a wine spill or a hot pan with ease. From the outset, porcelain was the natural choice. It allowed seamless integration of Pitt cooktops, creating a clean, uninterrupted aesthetic. Beyond its functionality, heat-resistant, easy to clean, and incredibly versatile, Travertino Ivory offered something rare: a porcelain surface with genuine warmth and texture. “It’s that perfect blend of luxury and livability,” Jack shares.

Family, authenticity, and craftsmanship are the cornerstones of Rich Glen Olive Oil, and those same values guided the design of this kitchen. “We’ve always believed that a home should reflect the people who live in it,” Jack explains. “Every decision was made with care and intention, built to last for generations,  just like our business.”Rich Glen’s presence flows naturally through the space. Their olive oils and dressings sit proudly within reach,  functional, beautiful, and deeply personal. “Seeing the Rich Glen logo in our kitchen is a reminder of how far we’ve come,  and how much more we’re building toward,” says Jack.

Collaborating with Stone Ambassador felt like a natural fit. “Beyond the product itself, what stood out was the personal connection. Their team’s enthusiasm and hands-on support were exceptional,” Jack says. “Working with family-owned stonemasons in Wangaratta brought the whole vision to life beautifully.”

It’s a shared belief in doing things the right way,  with care, purpose, and pride. The result is a kitchen that doesn’t just serve a home, but tells a story,  of family, legacy, and Australian-made excellence.
