The Meelup by Redink Homes is a stunning family home that perfectly captures the essence of spacious living while prioritising functionality and comfort. From the moment you step inside, the open-plan layout welcomes you with a sense of warmth and openness, designed to foster family connection and create lasting memories.

Drawing inspiration from the serene natural beauty of Treeby and the lifestyle of the Australian family, The Meelup’s design incorporates soft, organic curves that reflect the surrounding environment. The striking curved front façade makes a memorable first impression, while inside, the design maintains a harmonious flow with functional features like a concealed scullery and minimalist yet warm material choices. These elements combine beauty and practicality, ensuring the home is not only visually stunning but also perfectly suited to the demands of modern family life.

One of the key design trends we embraced in The Meelup is the use of curved forms, which add softness and flow to both the architecture and interiors. This trend is particularly evident in the kitchen, where curved feature cabinetry and a stone island benchtop with a large feature fascia create a sense of balance and cohesion. The minimalist design ensures that the space feels both modern and timeless, while maintaining a functional layout perfect for family gatherings and everyday use.

To elevate the kitchen design, Redink Homes selected Zenith Surfaces Firtina surfaces. The light and bright tones of this stone seamlessly complement the feature brickwork concealing the scullery, as well as the wood cabinetry and tiled flooring. The subtle grey and warm white hues of the stone create a cohesive design that ties the entire space together, making the kitchen feel inviting and grounded.

This project brought together key collaborators, including builder and designer Redink Homes, interior designer Jodi Balhorn, and the expert installation team at Stone with Character. Together, they created a home that not only meets the practical needs of a family but also stands as a beautiful, enduring testament to thoughtful design.
