What products to avoid in protecting Vasari Porcelain?

To ensure the longevity of your surface, avoid using hydrofluoric acid or any materials containing it. Additionally, steer clear of oily products, as they can leave a residue; always rinse thoroughly after cleaning. If any potentially damaging substances come into contact with the surface, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Before using any cleaning product, it’s advisable to test it on a small, inconspicuous area to confirm it won’t cause damage.

You can use your regular home cleaning products, but always test them first on a small, inconspicuous area of the surface. It’s advisable to avoid using the same cloth you use for washing dishes, as it may transfer oils and contaminants. Honed and Ultra Rough finishes are more susceptible to metal marks, fingerprints, and other signs of everyday use. However, these can be easily removed with non-abrasive cleaning products, such as a gentle spray cleaner.

What is the difference between Porcelain and Sintered Stone?

What is the difference between Porcelain and Sintered Stone?

The term “Sintered Stone” is commonly used by various manufacturers to describe a production process in which minerals are melted and solidified at high temperatures without the use of binders. This method can apply to several raw material compositions, including Porcelain.

It’s important to note that the term “Sintered Stone” is not exclusive and does not inherently imply a superior product. Claims of enhanced performance or easier fabrication should be thoroughly evaluated before drawing conclusions.

Vasari stands out for its exceptional cutting proficiency, making it a preferred choice among leading fabricators worldwide. Vasari surfaces undergo stringent fabrication testing, consistently delivering outstanding results and high quality.

Are your surfaces heat resistant?

Are your surfaces heat resistant?

Stone Ambassador’s Zenith Surfaces is heat resistant, however like all stone materials, it can be damaged by sudden and rapid surface temperature changes. A good rule of thumb is that if your hand cannot tolerate the level of heat for more than a few seconds then the heat source is too high.

Our Vasari surfaces range has a far higher heat tolerance level as it is a ceramic surface. However, we do recommend using a heat trivet or chopping block when placing hot items from the stone or oven on to your Vasari surface as an extra precaution against any unforeseen issues.
