Mini Kitchen Makeover with Zenith Surfaces

Sarah from Amos Interiors recently completed a stunning mini kitchen renovation, focusing on enhancing functionality while staying within a strict $10K budget. The project transformed a compact space by replacing dark, standard builder finishes with lighter, more personalised elements, resulting in a modern and inviting kitchen.

A key element of the design was Sarah’s love for green tones, which inspired subtle green accents to complement the existing white joinery. The goal was to create a fresh, airy atmosphere, while incorporating a light, matte concrete-look benchtop. This trend-forward choice added depth and warmth to the space without overwhelming it.

For the bench-top, Sarah selected Firtina from Stone Ambassador’s Zenith Surfaces range. She was looking for a light, almost-white concrete look with varying tones, and Firtina was the perfect fit. “We get so many compliments on the stone finish,” says Sarah. The matte texture and tonal variations bring a modern yet earthy vibe, seamlessly blending with the green cabinets and wooden handles.

Maximising space was a priority, so Sarah extended the island bench and added a 600mm pull-out bin cabinet. An integrated range hood also helped create a more spacious, seamless design. Aside from the bench-top installation, the entire renovation was a DIY effort.
