Designing with Purpose: Stone Ambassador x Danni Free Interiors x Wignells

At Stone Ambassador, we’re proud to collaborate with designers who not only create beautiful spaces but design with meaning. Our recent partnership with Danni Free Interiors and Wignells Heating & Cooking in Blackburn, Melbourne, brought that vision to life—transforming a 330m² empty shell into a warm, cohesive, and highly functional showroom.

When Wignells, a family business with a 70-year history, expanded their Blackburn location, they wanted the space to feel softer, more residential, and inspiring—a clear contrast to the industrial style of the ground floor. Danni Free embraced this brief, creating a space where customers can experience fireplaces, cookers, and heating solutions in thoughtfully curated lifestyle zones designed for connection and conversation.

A muted, earthy palette, inspired by the Australian landscape, sets the tone. Our Vasari Porcelain surfaces play a central role—providing visual warmth, durability, and cohesion across the entire showroom The space includes Creme Brulee on the large oval island in the entertainer’s kitchen and a matching fireplace plinth, perfectly paired with fluted timber joinery. Morocca on a floating fireplace plinth, complemented by a fluted wall and Robert Gordon wall sconces for a serene, grounding effect. Travertino at the entry fireplace, paired with Boston Oak joinery for an organic, layered elegance.

For Danni, Vasari Porcelain offered the ideal balance of beauty and practicality: “It makes a statement without being precious to maintain. Each design imitates natural stone beautifully and enhances the overall concept.”
